The Hotel Advokat is the result of a fantastic conversion of an ordinary 70s office block, which gives it its distinct, retro touch. Opened in 1996, the establishment is the first avant-guard design hotel in Munich and has become a distinguished refuge of simplicity for small groups and lone travellers. A surprising and thoughtful selection of art pieces such as busts, flower arrangements and paintings captivate guests. The hotel exhibits are changed every six weeks.

• The Hotel Advokat's six floors house 50 rooms which, despite being compact, offer an astonishing array of peculiarities, from wardrobes with glazed doors and curtains to a healthy apple left on the pillow as a welcome gift instead of sweets. They have a sophisticated look, reminiscent of the seventies, and an eye for details which reaches its climax in the exhibition of artistic photography which hangs on the walls. The establishment does not have a restaurant, but does have a lovely breakfast room filled with exquisite food every morning, famous for being one of the best in the city. There is also a charming rooftop terrace to contemplate the bustle of the city and enjoy a moment of relaxation and time out.

• The Hotel Advokat enjoys a quiet location close to the main points of interest in Munich, such as the Gasteig centre for culture and performance arts and the Müllerschen baths. Only a few metres away is the Isartor S-Bahn station, perfect for getting around the city.
