• It doesn't get much more cutting edge than this. Set in a quiet neighbourhood not far from Cracow city centre, from the moment you enter the chic and stylishly glossy lobby you know that this is somewhere with a very special vision. This vision is centred on an extraordinary attention to detail: Secessionist armchairs are combined with black Futons, Italian lamps with rich Persian carpets, all set against the eponymous off-white walls and white painted concrete floors. Throughout the hotel the spaces are bright and airy, with a fresh, inspiring feel, while the intimate scale ensures that service is highly personalised.

• Nothing can quite prepare you for the remarkable design of the rooms, however. A vision in white and black, with striking violet curtains, they are at once refreshingly uncluttered, comfortable, spacious and homely. You can choose from eight luxurious studios across four floors, or a vast penthouse on the top floor - all show the same meticulous approach. Every studio has air-conditioning, flat-screen television with satellite channels, and complimentary WiFi internet access; some also have terraces overlooking the courtyard, while others, facing northwest, feature large windows with a view of Kupa Street itself. The hotel also includes a spacious ground-floor restaurant and a basement VIP room, complete with funky light projections - the ideal place to relax with a drink and soak up the city's vibrant creativity.

• Off White Apartments are situated on Kupa Street in the Kazimierz district, an area saturated with history and full of significant monuments of Polish and Jewish culture, such as the 17th-century Isaac Synagogue. Today the area has developed a thriving creative atmosphere, and is now one of Cracow's hippest hangouts. You are also just a ten-minute walk from the Royal Wawel Castle and Old Town.
