• Winner of the 2007 ‘Best Hotel Interior Design in Europe’ Villegiature Award, the Hotel Stary is the pinnacle of postmodern design. The building has been around since the 15th century and each renovation over the last half a millenia has left its mark; today this creates an exclusive and postmodern architectural ambience, oozing effortless style. In the lobby chequered tiled marble floors, domed ceilings and exposed brickwork mix with exotic wooden fittings and leather upholstery in black and red tones. The original elements of the hotel have been rigorously conserved and incorporated into the design of the hotel wherever possible to create a truly unique ambiance.

• Oriental carpets, sumptuous silk, bespoke furniture and extensive attention-to-detail have been employed it the Hotel Stary’s rooms and suites. The rooms all have luxurious bathrooms with Italian or Brazilian marble fittings and jacuzzi tubs, and in the suites you will find antique beds and 15th century frescoes. The hotel has a unique subterranean fitness club. In the raw brickwork of the underground vaults you can wile away your stress in the atmospheric pool with massage fountain, salt cave, aromatherapy sauna, as well as a Technogym and relaxation area. Just one level above, on the ground floor, you will find a coffee-shop serving home-made delicacies and the hotel’s restaurant, ‘Trzy Rybki’, serving traditional and seasonal Polish food. The hotel also has two bars, one of them on the roof terrace with magnificent views of the Main Market Square of Crakow.

• The Hotel Stary is located in the Jewish district, Kazimierz, amongst all the trendy shops and restaurants of the area. It is within easy reach of some of the main sights of Cracow, next to the Main Market Square, and close to the train and metro, John Paul II Airport is 11km away.
