Set on the slopes of a beautiful and secluded valley just outside of Chiang Mai, the Veranda Chiangmai: The High Resort is a superb example of Asian contemporary design and luxurious Zen relaxation. Hidden away among a wonderful profusion of tropical greenery, this characterful hotel offers considerable comfort with elegantly furnished villas complete with private plunge pools. It is also graced with a top-quality spa and views to die for, making the Veranda Chiang Mai the kind of place style magazines love to photograph. Lush, landscaped gardens lend colour and privacy to the resort, so that you can happily slip naked into your private plunge pool, while looking out over distant forests and breathing the pure mountain air. Layout-wise, it is divided into two zones, with one side representing the cultural heritage of the north and the other the contemporary open Veranda style. The effect is, for want of a better word, spectacular.
Veranda Chiangmai: The High Resort's villas are set on the valley slope with stunning views over a landscape that features natural mountain streams, as well as rice and tea terraces. The one bedroom Plunge Pool Villas are remarkable for their 54-metre squared terraces and sleek contemporary design. For the ultimate in pampering, the Presidential Pool Villas are an excellent choice with two bedrooms, a private study, large private swimming pool and Jacuzzi as well as full butler services. Dining in Veranda Chianmai ranges from spectacular in "The Higher Room", with all-day dining set high above the valley. The Rabiang Cha the modern Thai cuisine restaurant set beneath a clear glass roof allowing guests the chance to dine in a romantic setting beneath the stars. Finally, the spa offers massages and treatments whilst making the most of the forest setting.
Lage
Veranda Chiangmai: The High Resort is located just 15 kilometres from the city's airport. The resort offers a shuttle service from the airport on prior arrangement as well as a scheduled mini bus service to Chiangmai city.
