Rich in detail and design, the Mayfair Hotel & Spa is a legend in Miami hospitality. From the moment you walk through the mahogany carved entrance door, the atmosphere is tropical, unusual and even decadent: a lagoon growing with orchids fills the central atrium, hand made stained glass and imported mosaic tiles decorate the surroundings.

Each of the 179 suites of the Mayfair Hotel & Spa are named after a tropical bird or native South Florida flower and lavishly decorated with tropical contemporary design and high quality materials and furnishings. The hotel offers a designer spa experience at the Jurlique Spa with a holistic approach to rejuvenation and relaxation specializing in a variety of services. The Cabana One Lounge & Pool Club is the place to lie back and enjoy special surroundings and great drinks. It was the vision of New York public relations guru Ron Berkowitz and New York restaurateur Josh Lebowitz, and has upmarket facilities, Gaudí-esque design and a panoramic view of Biscayne Bay. Angelo & Maxie’s, of New York fame, is the hotels’ restaurant: a steakhouse serving surf and turf specialities with distinctive interior design. The hotel also has vast spaces to hold any event from a conference to a wedding, including an outdoor garden and terrace.

"Trés belle hotel avec une superbe piscine. L'utilisation du spa est en fait payante 30 dollars une utilisation. Dommage j'avais choisi cette hotel pour le spa... Ce n'etait pas préciser à l avance."

"Absolutely wonderful oasis in the heart of the Coconut Grove. Few steps from Coco Walk. The oriental style of the hotel is very nice and perfectly executed. The pool at the roof is maybe the greatest ever! I was about to say that this was the best hotel ever, but: We booked an executive suite. The first room was very nice, but dark and view was just a waal few feet away from the terrace. But after asking, they moved us to another suite that was exactly like in their website - perfect! Or at least it looked that way. Two big minuses: there are very nice stone floors in the suite, but they were so dirty that you got your feet totally black after few minutes of walking around. The other not-so-great thing was the advertised japanese hot tub on your own terrace. It was great allright, but it costed 30$ extra to use it! Nothing mentioned in the website about that. It was totally worth it, but still it should have been mentioned. Otherwise an excellent hotel, if you want to stay away from South Beach."
