Responsibilities
Based in the Pan European Customer Service Centre in Barcelona (Plaça Catalunya), you will be responsible for the direct operational customer relationships in order to increase revenue, profit and client satisfaction.

- - Fluency in both English and Spanish is essential.

Reporting to and working alongside the Marketing Director, your objective is to maximize sales using DM techniques, for both new and returning customers.
Responsibilities
- Define Splendia's direct marketing strategy to achieve significant growth in sales through this channel in 2010.
- Dramatically grow prospect contacts in the database through lead generation campaigns (organic, viral, MGM, external, co-reg…) in key Splendia customer markets.
- Enrich the customer database to allow increased segmentation/datamining making in possible to launch personalised offers based on customer behaviour and preferences.
- Devise and implement an effective emailing plan to convert prospects into customers (both for housefile + external lists) as well as boost repeat order from returning customers. This will require execution of email sends as well as strategy, media plan, segmentation, copy development, measurement, and reporting.
- Manage The Club by Splendia (analysis, strategy, improvements, communication, partnership deals…) making sure that it brings added value to customers and boosts sales.
- Carry out thorough analysis to evaluate the effectiveness and profitability of all DM activities as well as overall repeat order levels and lifetime value of customers.
- Meet and exceed target levels: customer acquisition, activation of customers, repeat orders, lifetime value, marketing spend and contribution margin.
- Drive innovation and testing initiatives through competitor analysis, market research and introducing industry best practice.
- Profile
- - At least 3 years direct marketing experience in an online environment, with extensive hands-on experience managing email campaigns and delivery through one of the major email service providers.
- Strong understanding of database management and customer segmentation, ideally with experience of working with datamining and CRM software.
- Exceptional track record of developing and implementing customer retention strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives.

- The Splendia website is currently in 6 languages, the plan being to launch in additional new languages in 2009. Reporting to the Marketing Director, your objective is to optimise all content in English (must be native English speaker) and manage the translation of the website into other languages.
Responsibilities
EDITION
- Create, develop and manage content for the web using an in-house content management tool.
- Copyedit and proofread all web content in English as well as copy for marketing campaigns such as customer newsletters.
- Work closely with the SEO Manager to ensure that all web content is optimized from a SEO point of view.
- Ensure that the website reflects at all times a coherent and consistent brand image in line with the Splendia brand values.
COORDINATION OF TRANSLATION
- Evaluate options for managing translation (in-house/ agency /freelancers) and define strategy based on costs and efficiency.
- Coordinate all translations (either in-house or externally) managing effectively the schedule, guidelines, quality and costs.
- Manage the process for the launch of the website into new languages (such as Japanese).
- Provide weekly reporting of the content department performance including KPIs & costings.

- Select, implement and manage tracking and Web Analytics tools to provide accurate and actionable data.
- Identify KPIs for user behaviour and marketing effectiveness.
- Take structured data feeds from various sources and produce highly graphical dashboards and reports that will articulate market trends and performance intelligence.
- Set up regular reporting to analyse and interpret web data on traffic patterns, conversion funnel, navigation behaviour and product selection.
