• From it's marble hall to manicured garden, Hotel Seven One Seven is an exclusive private guesthouse that whispers taste. More genteel country residence than city centre guesthouse, the discreetly attentive staff of this exclusive hotel seem more like a butler and housekeeper than just hotel employees. There are only eight luxurious suites, which allows staff to shower attention on guests, and room prices not only include a full breakfast but also afternoon tea, drinks from the minibar and a selection of house wines. The magnificent facade of the monumental building hides a beautiful interior: a sleek marble floor with a solid oak staircase leads to two enchanting suites at the front of the house with a view towards the glorious Prinsengracht canal.

• Each of the 8 deluxe suites, named after writers and composers, are all well proportioned and have been designed in a specific style. This has been achieved by mixing antiques with modern accents. All suites are decorated with colourful walls and windows in combination with contrasting fabrics and wallpaper. Six of the suites look out onto the patio, at the rear of the building, which is elegantly styled with tables and comfortable chairs, where you can enjoy breakfast in fine weather, a drink or an afternoon tea in the shade of an old maple tree. Breakfast is also served either in your room or downstairs in the Strawinsky Hall. In the hall, between the handsome Irish drapes covering the five French doors, daylight shines on the beautiful paintings. The grand piano and the generously set tables form the perfect ambiance for a unique and relaxed start of the day.

• Hotel Seven One Seven is ideally situated in the very heart of Amsterdam within walking distance of the Rijksmuseum (National Gallery), the Van Gogh Museum and the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam’s major attractions. Furthermore a number of fashionable stores are located just around the corner in the well-known Spiegelstraat, as well as the antique quarter and many cinemas, bars and excellent restaurants. Guests who book Friday or Saturday nights must stay a minimum of 2 nights.
