Sogno Di Giulietta

Perhaps the most romantic hotel in the world: Il Sogno di Giulietta is located right opposite Juliet Capulet’s balcony in the fair city of Verona. The hotel itself is right out of a Shakespearean play, with original stonework, wooden beams and lavish period furniture. The house across from the hotel was reportedly the Capulet’s house and every year, thousands of romantics visit the courtyard, pinning love letters on the walls and touching the bronze statue of Juliet which is found there in the hope that it will bring them luck in love. The courtyard is closed to tourists during the evening, at which time it is only privileged guests of the hotel that have access to this romantic spot.

The rooms at Il Sogno di Giulietta are lavishly decorated with antique furniture, huge carved beds, fine furnishings and a Jacuzzi in every bathroom. Some have a view in to the courtyard where Juliet’s balcony is to be found, the location where she and Romeo courted. The hotel provides a number of in-room services for the true romantic: a sumptuous breakfast, fine wines, fruits and flowers can all be ordered.

Il Sogno di Giulietta is located in Verona, Northern Italy, where Shakespeare most famous play Romeo and Juliet is set. Valerio Catullo international airport is 10 kilometres from the city centre and there is an airport bus that runs every 20 minutes.
