The chef of the One-Eight-One restaurant, Andrew Larsen, has created a menu which is based on modern interpretations of traditional British fare, accompanied by an extensive wine list. Delicately sculpted timber light fittings and palm inspired wallpaper create an intimate, light and relaxed dining environment. The warm and inviting lounge with its open fire and elegant high ceiling provides guests with a perfect space for relaxation. It is here that one is invited to feel at home on the sofas around the fireplace, and select a book or magazine from the shelves to peruse. A selection of board games is also available for guests’ use.

Situated in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, many of the capital’s best attractions are on the Rockwell’s doorstep - Harrods department store is only a 20 minute walk, the Royal Albert Hall, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum as well as the shopping areas of Knightsbridge, Chelsea and Kensington are all within a 10-20 minute walking distance. The hotel is also close to the wide green expanses of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. For the business traveler, it is conveniently located within a short 6 minute walk from both Earl’s Court Exhibition Centre and Olympia. The closest underground station is only a 4 minute walk away, and Heathrow airport is reached within a 35 minute car journey.
