The President Hotel

Designed in 1936 and built in 1937, this 64-room beachfront hotel graces Miami Beach with its rich history and Art Deco charm. Designed by L. Murray Dixon, the hotel showcases 1930s classic Art Deco elements ranging from patterned terrazo floors and framed windows to recessed corners and wrought iron railings. A recent renovation by a French designer saw the addition of a fourth floor penthouse while original murals, ironwork, and other details were fully restored. The hotel is conveniently just one block from the beach and close to many of the area's popular shops, clubs, and restaurants.

Aside from being spacious and comfortable, the hotel's crisp and quiet rooms are an aesthetic treat, each with an attractive green and white color scheme. Each room has one wall completely covered with a picture portraying green elements of nature. Giant leaves with water drops will have you feeling as if you're immersed in a tranquil wilderness setting. Tile flooring and high-thread-count linens can be found in each room, as well as Czechoslovakian crystal chandeliers that add a touch of elegance. All rooms were renovated in 2008 and are equipped with all the amenities demanded by today's traveler including flat-screen TVs and WiFi internet connectivity. Guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner service which is available for delivery to the guest rooms, from the Front Porch Café, located at the adjoining Penguin Hotel.
