• The College Hotel is aptly named, and not simply because the hotel is set in a spectacular 19th century school building. This small, elegant, luxury hotel which straddles the border between Amsterdam’s Museum Quarter and its chicest shopping streets, is actually run by students, albeit under the supervision of world-class professionals. The College Hotel is designed by paying homage to the past while filling the hotel with up-to-date facilities and modern design touches. The result is an eclectic, enticing mix of history and high-tech technology. From the moment you enter the property, The College Hotel exudes a sense of relaxation and refinement that seems to reflect its historic scholastic past. • The College Hotel’s forty luxurious rooms and suites have each been individually designed to maintain their own identity. Elegant fabrics and colours were chosen to accent warm nurturing tones, and all rooms are characterised by a harmonious blending of black with shades of brown and sandy colours. Bathrooms are finished with chic, subtle details including exclusively designed washbasin furniture in black French polish with brown marble and chrome legs and ZenZone amenities. The College Hotel restaurant is a free-standing restaurant located in the former school gymnasium. Here, famed chef Schilo van Coevorden and his team pay tribute to the Golden age of Dutch cuisine by honouring classics from the past from a contemporary perspective, resulting in a surprising culinary experience.
