Marvel at the exclusive Italy-meets-Indonesia style at The Chedi, the latest exclusive hotel from the GHM chain, responsible for some of the world's most original hotels. The hotel's Indonesian roots give Milan's The Chedi an urban resort feel; this is a place where you can find a refuge from the busy modern world and soak up the Asian ambience. Located in Milan’s residential Bovisa district, the hotel is about a 15 minute taxi drive into the centre of town; yet the lobby and private garden, as well as the Italian/Asian restaurant provide some of many reasons to stick around. What you'll notice as you walk around is the satisfying precision of the architecture and interior design, especially in the glass façade and marble staircase, conceived by Indonesian designer Jaya Ibrahim. The hotel even has its own signature fragrance, Anena, leaving a lingering impression of mandarin and green tea.

Rooms feature subtle, smooth colours such as sand, brown, ochre and orange, as well as earthy materials; wood, bronze, stone, mosaic and textured ceramic are all used to create a tranquil atmosphere.
