Hotel description
Terre di Vendicari, a wonderful manor farm, built in 1740, and a 40 year older olive-press, is reborn thanks to the wise restoration done by the workers who made the reopening of Noto Cathedral happen in May 2007. At the beginning Terre di Vendicari was a farm business, rich in lemon trees, olive trees, centenary carob trees and the well-known almond trees from Avola; a magical place where bees come to produce their honey. About 1800 prickly pear cactus seem to defend the estate, while offering their fruits. Coming to this charming hotel means taking a leap into the past, retrieving smells, colors and sensations which seemed lost. The terrace “Codalupo” offers a breathtaking bird's eye view over the tuna-fish factory, the reserve, and the sea.
Each room in this hotel stands out for its unique style. Their names, all referring to trees except the suite, tell something about the history of the Terre di Vendicari. The environment is cooled by air conditioning in summertime and heated in wintertime with the exception of the olive-press rooms. Ancient stone walls, almost one meter thick, will guarantee a natural air-conditioning for the guests. The guests will be drawn by the attention to detail and the exclusivity of furnishing. They also have two swimming pools at their disposal to relax and feel good in absolute privacy. For those who don’t want to spend all day relaxing by the pool sides or enjoying natural landscapes within the estate, the hotel organizes interesting nature trails by foot or by mountain bike.
Location
There is no doubt that sea is the main attraction: just a 5 minute drive to reach the beautiful beaches of Eloro, San Lorenzo, Marzamemi and Portopalo. In addition Sicily has a rich cultural heritage and Terre di Vendicari is located in the so-called Val di Noto where you can find an amazing baroque architecture. Every year, 500 pink flamingos come from Africa to nest. They fly over the ancient tuna-fish factory and over the beaches where turtles lay eggs from time immemorial. Their flight path draws a wonderful pink cloud and creates an amazing color game that communicates the strong vitality of this land.

"Tres belle situtation et prestation. Il est cependant difficle de trouver l'hotel et le personnel ne parle ni Francais ni Englais."
