Following a takeover and refurbishment by Swissôtel at the end of 2002, The Howard provides five star accommodation in a pocket of London that cries out for top-notch accommodation. Swissôtel The Howard enjoys one of the best hotel locations in London, set in a quiet oasis just off the Victoria Embankment and overlooking the River Thames. The hotel is just a short walk from Covent Garden with its theatres, restaurants, nightlife and shopping, and world-famous London landmarks such as St Paul's Cathedral, the Houses of Parliament, Tate Modern and the London Eye all within easy reach. Temple tube station, on the Circle and District lines, is right by the hotel.

En resumen, una falta total de atención ante una situación que era de evidente incomodidad para cualquier viajero. De hecho cogimos un catarro y una gripe impresionante. "Excellent location (walking distance to the center and to the South Bank, St Paul's etc.), superb view on London and the Thames from the room (Superior Room with River View), service very good, staff friendly and helpful. Room good, comfortable and large, with complimentary espressos at a Lavazza machine, BUT: ceiling a bit low, bed (room 308) way too short and made of two single mattresses (even though it is supposed to be a double bed) and TV not a flat screen. Hotel bar trendy and very cosy, restaurant room beautifully decorated and cosy."
