The Starhotels Michelangelo is a four star hotel establishment situated in the heart of Baroque Rome, just a few metres from the beautiful St. Peter's Square in the Vatican. It boasts the services and facilities worthy of its category as well as a strategic and extraordinary location for discovering the treasures that are hidden in Saint Peter's Basilica and the Vatican Museum.
Rigour and sobriety are the two qualities that combine in the hotel's 179 rooms to yield elegance and refinement. The rooms have been equipped with all of today's modern requirements in order to ensure guest's comfort. In addition, some of the rooms give great views of the dome of Saint Peter's Basilica.
The hotel's interiors have been furnished with a bar, restaurant, a 180 capacity meeting room and six smaller rooms for up to ten people, ensuring that guest's stay is more comfortable and practical.
Location
Access to the hotel is easy and comfortable thanks to its excellent location. There's a direct link to Rome's Fiumicino airport by taking the Leonardo Express from the Termini train station, fifteen minutes drive away from the establishment. The hotel also enjoys, apart from proximity to the Vatican and its world-renowned artistic treasures, relative proximity to the Saint Angelo's Castle and Museum as well as the breakwater of the Tiber river.

"The hotel was clean and well presented. The room was comfortable and the towels were changed daily but by far the outstanding feature of this hotel is the staff, all of whom were charming, very helpful and knowledgable all in several languages!!!!"

"The room temperature was excessively hot. We were told it was acceptable. It was not. After 7 nights we were moved to a new cool room, but only after threatening to leave for another hotel. The issue should have been addressed immediately. If so my rating would habve been much higher. I will still recommend the hotel; however, I will warn about the air conditioning problem that we experienced."

"Location - Great! with a view on San Pietro cupola from balcony. 3 minutes walk to San Pietro square. Very good connection to Termini station (bus no.64) Staff - professional and friendly older guys ;-)... very helpful in all matters. Room - not as good as we thought from photos on Splendia; we had room (no.614) with a big stain on the ceiling (we didn't complain only because we were too tired and just for two nights there). Breakfast - old and used clothings, dishes with spalls and not enough cleaned (with water drops dried on glass and tea stains on porcelaine) In general ok... when comparing price to hotel location."
