Hotel description

A new and charming traditional Ottoman-style hotel right on the doorstep of two thousand years of history in Istanbul´s West city-centre. Member of the Sirkeci Hotels and restaurant group, the establishment was recently built and inaugurated in 2007. The Sirkeci Konak Hotel contains its own definition in the name "Konak". This is a large house, normally used as a Turkish official residence and in the old Ottoman Empire. Its creation was the fruit of a innovative focus based on combining the old 19th century style with modern 21st century comfort. The result is a harmonious blend of traditional Ottoman hospitality and all of today´s modern comforts.

The Sirkeci Konak has 54 rooms, the decoration and equipment reflect to perfection the "harmonising" desire of the hotel. Designed with respect to the history and traditions of the region, with Ottoman style furniture and embodying the last in comfort to satisfy the demands of modern travellers. Moments of relaxation are provided in the traditional turkish bath, sauna, in-door swimming pool and gym, free of charge. Its also possible to enjoy succulent culinary delights, either in outside the panoramic terrace or in the warm ambience of the restaurant indoors. Guests on business will have their desires fulfilled with two meeting halls both equipped.

Location

The Sirkeci Konak Hotel shares a stage with the impressive Topkapi Palace only 50 metres away and whose courtyard enjoys excellent views. Guests can take advantage of the area to have a nice walk or go jogging. As well as that, the hotel´s central yet quiet location gives guests the privilege of not only being able to walk to the majority of the museums, monuments and shops but also just to enjoy the quiet location.

"We had the best experience of our life. The hotel staff treated us like family. We have stayed at 5 star and 7 star hotels, but never experienced such warmth and concern for our comfortable. Great staff, excellent dining facilitiy at both the restuarants within the hotel. The seafood restaurant is superb. We also enjoyed one the hotel owned restaurant close by within a 2 minute walk form the hotel called PASHAZADE. Excellent food and great European style service. Excellent all round experince!!"

"This hotel excels in personal attention and service. Guest relations personnel Pelin and Agah were exceptional in making me feel at home and welcomed, especially in a country with so different a culture. Ceren and Pelin did a super job in clearing up a problem regarding a special they were offering but would not work because of the fact that it was a weekend and the computers were not recognizing the offer. Görkem did a great job in recommending places to go. Excellent service, warm reception, comfortable, good food, I would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others without hesitation."
