• Having opened in 2006, Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome is a new addition to central Berlin's luxury accommodation offer. Housed in a striking building which dates from 1889, it is famous for having been the home, for more than half a century, of the Dresdner Bank. The renovation was undertaken by architect Tommaso Ziffer who sought to integrate contemporary design with the classical architecture of the elaborate original.

• The original splendour is also conserved in the 146 rooms of this luxury hotel with their high ceilings and classical dimensions of bygone ages. The décor was inspired by the neoclassical architect Schinkel using the two fundamental ingredients of Berlin design, glass and steel.
  The Parioli restaurant provides guests with excellent Mediterranean and Italian cuisine and in fine weather diners can enjoy the use of the exterior patio. The Bebel Bar next door has a more contemporary atmosphere. Another possibility is the Opera Court salon. with its beautiful glazed ceiling, where a mid-afternoon coffee or tea can be enjoyed. There are five meeting rooms designed with the business traveller in mind.
