• With a rich history dating back to World War II, the Richmond is truly a long-standing masterpiece in the heart of Miami Beach's Art Deco District. Founded in 1941 by Pete Seltzer prior to the start of World War II, the beachfront Richmond was one of the first hotels to be constructed right on the ocean. It is the last of Miami Beach's family owned hotels to be run by its original family. Pat Herbert spearheaded renovation efforts using fine materials and European furnishings typical of the original Art Deco era.
