Riad Hala

Built in the early 17th century, the Arab-Andalusian style Riad Hala was transformed into a guest house in 2008 and has preserved all of its original character - a discreet hideaway for discovering Fez's incredible charms. The property itself is wonderfully atmospheric, with tiled floors, arched doorways and many original fittings creating a space at once still, calm and relaxing – just the place to unwind in style. The diminutive size of the property means that service is highly personalised, and the staff will do everything they can to ensure that your stay is perfect. They will also be more than happy to offer advice on places to visit, so that you can get the most out of your time here.

The white-painted rooms themselves are filled with characterful furniture, and brought to life with vibrant carpets and fabrics. All are generously sized, and many have high ceilings creating cool spaces. All are equipped with televisions with satellite channels. Riad Hala also offers you a traditional Moroccan hammam where you can get a scrub and massage using natural products.

Riad Hala enjoys a privileged location in the Batha district of the Medina of Fez, just three minutes' walk from the Bab Boujloud gateway, and numerous restaurants, and main shops and streets. The Medina is a UNESCO World Heritage site, on account of its stunning architecture – today you will still find many traditional arts and crafts. Meanwhile, Moulay Yacoub hot springs, Sidi Harazem spa, Golf LeRoyal Saïss Fez and a tennis club are all nearby.
