This renovated riad is an opulent former princes palace located in the heart of Fez’s Andalucian medina. Entering into the Riad El Ghalia you are confronted with detailed mosaics and zelligs in many colours and patterns. Every available surface is decorated and sculpted, evoking an authentic ethnic atmosphere. The rooms are organised around a central courtyard, typical of this type of architecture, where you will find a chaise longue, lush foliage and water features.
The rooms of the Riad El Ghalia are traditionally decorated and often feature antique or locally sourced furniture and fittings. The hotel offers a restaurant on its terrace with stunning views over the medina and rooftops of Fez. Here you can enjoy local Moroccan food and Fassi cooking, the most famous of the local cuisine types. There is a hammam where you can have a full body massage, beauty treatment or even an appointment with a hairstylist by prior request. Cookery or Calligraphy courses can be arranged also by request.
