An authentic and restrained atmosphere reigns in this very beautiful Riad famed for its high standard services and personalized attention. Davia was a female sultan in Marrakesh from 1755-1811. In the riad to which her name is given, guests will discover the terrifying yet magical story of her incredible destiny. Recently refurbished, the Riad Davia will seduce with the elegance of its décor and the quality of the different services it offers: its unique style is a perfect mix between sober and restrained Andalusian architecture and contemporary touches. The comfort and well-being of guests are the priority of the establishment. A special mention must go to the very talented cook and kind staff who will do their best to make a stay at riad Davia exceptional.

The large patio is the center of the Riad and will prompt you to refresh in the small pool, drink a glass of tea by the centenary mulburry tree or take a nap in the large Indian beds. In its extension, guests will discover the winter living room and its amazing chimney painted in a dark brown tadellakt or traditional Morrocan plaster. Each of the three suites and two rooms has its own style: shimmering colours, old carpets and refined objects are harmoniously displayed. To give a stay a more oriental touch, the riad owns its private Hammam as well as beauty care area. A professional staff will welcome guests for all beauty treatments. Also, the terrace offers a beautiful view of the Atlas mountains, a solarium and a restaurant in a traditional tent.

Location

The Riad Davia is hidden in the Medina, a few steps away from the Bab Aylen gate, an authentic and calm area located on the road to the different golf courses of the city. Very easy to access, the Riad allows you to discover the beauty of the red city, its souks and the famous Jemaa El Fna square. The modern area of Gueliz, its luxury stores and its trendy restaurants are about 15 min from Riad Davia.

"Excellent staff. Lovely quiet modern Riad, rooms excellent. Try if poss to go for the larger rooms on the first floor, as the two on the ground floor can be a little overlooked. Location is on a back street in Madina, but don't let that put you off! As Riad itself is excellent and only around 15-20 min walk to main square. Didn't have dinner there but was on offer for 15-20E p/p. Terrace, great for just relaxing. Staff very helpful, without being pushy at all. Overall a great place to stay! Owner is French and does not speak much English."
