Riad Damia

A renovated riad with a family atmosphere, the Riad Damia is located in the heart of the medina and decorated in full traditional Moroccan style. Every nook and cranny of this hotel is designed: from the wall details to the mosaics and arabesques decorating every surface. The furniture is plush deep red velvet with antique wood, and underfoot you tread thick Persian-style carpet. Old world opulence is the key word here, with the colours, textures, sights, sounds and smells of a Sultan's palace. Walking through the central courtyard you will feel enchanted with this hidden and evocative world, where you can lounge on a day bed and indulge in some homemade sweets and the Moroccan staple, mint tea.

The Riad Damia presents a selection of rooms, suites and one apartment. All are decorated with the same detailed, oriental art and tile work, evoking a mysterious and evocative atmosphere. The rooms often feature big brass bed frames and antique wooden furniture, colourful and tasteful at all times. While the central courtyard provides the perfect spot for relaxation and an escape from the hot sun, the rooftop terrace can be used for private sunbathing and a vista across the rooftops of spectacular Fez. The riad has its own restaurant, Douiria, where you can savour homemade traditional Moroccan food and delicacies made with local products, and you can even help with the participation of the food if you wish.

Located in the medina, yet still accessible by car, the Riad Damia is in the heart of a truly spectacular city. With all the sights, sounds and smells you will experience here, you may not have time to go further afield. If you do wish to make a daytrip there are tennis courts and golf course nearby, and tours can be talked over at the hotel.
