Hotel description

The Rex Hotel is a three star boutique hotel combining modern Swedish functionality and a setting exuding the charm of a refurbished Swedish town house from 1866. The 19th century atmosphere can still be witnessed in the brick vaults in the basement and the broad pine tree planks on the wooden floors. Other than that, the Rex Hotel is graced with all the modern amenities, as any discerning traveller or business person would expect. For those tired of larger hotels and who demand a functional environment, this is the hotel to stay in while in Stockholm.

Think of the Rex Hotel as a home away from home. Simple but functionally furnished. Distinctive colours that provide a pleasant contrast to the building. The owner, Per Hellsten (who also owns Rex's sister hotel across the street, The Hellsten) is a recognised photographer, and his black and white photographs adorn the lobby, corridors and rooms. To add to your comfort, the hotel also provides a small, intimate dining room which will invite people to make acquaintances with fellow guests.

Location

The Rex Hotel is just a block away from Sveavägen, a major street right in the middle of the city. This area is the centre for much of Stockholm's media and music industry. It is a block away from the underground station of Rådmansgatan and about 40 kilometres from Arlanda Airport.

"Très bon rapport qualité /prix. Personnel très aimable. De plus , petite attention très sympa à la réception de l'hôtel : des petits biscuits et du café offerts. Les chambres sont petites mais très bonne literie , un beau parquet et de belles salles de bains. Avec mes amies, on recommande cet hôtel qui a du charme ."
