The atmospheric and historic Palazzo Ruzzini embodies the true essence of Italian luxury and style in the heart of the enchanting city of Venice. Built in the late 16th century, the building itself combines renaissance and baroque elements. A precious original façade with the main entrance from the 1500s overlooks the campo Santa Maria Formosa, the cultural heart of Venice, while on the other side the hotel still maintains a water entrance on the rio del Paradiso. Inside, the building has preserved many of the old features, while restoring interior to the high practical and aesthetic standards we expect today. The internal features include a large 'portego', a lounge that stretches along the entire wing of the building, exposed wooden beams, Venetian flooring and frescoes by Venetian painter Gregorio Lazzarini. The interior décor of the palace is sublime; rich colour and texture abound, with highly stylised furniture and great attention to detail.
