The newly-inaugurated Palacio Avenida Urban Hotel is a former movie theatre overlooking Plaza de Espańa offering striking interior design — a beautiful mid-sized hotel which doesn't compromise on facilities. Once the city's most popular movie theatres, the hotel now promises to become a major attraction again with design by Bruno Borrione — a member of Philippe Starck's team — that combines technology and custom designed furniture with a stylish retro feel that goes well with the building whose large windows give the building a bright, airy and welcoming feel.
The Palacio Avenida offers 67 rooms, all of them with natural light and views of the centre of Palma. From some of them, you can contemplate Bellver castle and the Sierra de Tramontana's mountain range. As well as stylish rooms, the Palacio Avenida Hotel offers a bar service, a gastronomic restaurant, a coffee-shop at street level and, should you need it, a beautiful conference room.
Location
Palacio Avenida Urban Hotel is located on Plaza de Espańa, in the heart of the shopping area and financial district of the city. It is also conveniently situated only a few metres from the train station from which you can easily get to the UIB University campus or take the famous locomotive train to visit Soller and its port. The City Sightseeing bus also leaves from in front of the hotel.

"Dont go!! air conditioning only went down to 22.5!room very warm a night, safe broken and was not attached to anything! bath with no shower over it - plug did not water work constantly leaked water, window in room tilted open a tiny bit, light bulbs out, over rated would not go back, wanted 40 euros to keep room on. Room was not spacious in fact quite small. Stayed for 2 nights toiletries were not replaced after first night how tight!! Fridge did not work very well needed ice for drinks. No tea or coffee making facilities. No adaptor available from reception this would be a good idea if they have many visitors from overseas."
