Orient Express Hotel

The Orient Express Hotel enjoys a privileged location in the historical Sirkeci district along the banks of the Bosphorous, and pays homage to the train that brought kings and statesmen to Istanbul. The original Orient Express train route ran from Gare de l�Est in Paris and ended in the Sirkeci train terminal, just 100 metres from the hotel. The design concept of the hotel recreates the original splendour of the train, and is visually stimulating as well as nostalgic. Antique clocks, dark brown wood panelling and cream and gold hues hearken back to the turn of the 20th century, and so does the comfortable furniture.

The 54 rooms and suites are all authentically decorated to continue the theme but include modern conveniences such as satellite TV and wireless Internet access. Cherry wood furniture, simple and elegant headboards and framed antique photos set a warm and inviting tone. The hotel has a panoramic terrace restaurant, indoor swimming pool, fitness room and "Wagon" bar. The pool is a place where guests can enjoy themselves both for swimming and having a drink. The Orient Express Hotel is located on the European side near the banks of the Bosphorous in the Sirkeci district, the shopping capital of Turkey with the Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar and other street markets nearby. The hotel is in the vicinity of the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and the Topkapi palace, lavishly decorated with four courts of increasing grandeur and stunning views over the estuary.
