Located in midst of lovely green Tuscan hills, but just a few minutes drive from Florence’s Ponte Vecchio, the Marignolle Relais & Charme gives you the best of both worlds. It is an ideal option for those who wish to visit Florence’s cultural jewels, but who may prefer to stay in the beautiful Tuscan landscape. Though each of the nine rooms are different, the common denominators are their ample size, excellent level of refinement and liberal sprinkling of 19th century furniture and prints. Outside, the pool overlooking the hills rolling towards the Certosa Convent invites guests to simply unwind and relax.
The nine spacious rooms are immaculately styled reflecting the owners' impeccable taste and attention to detail: parquet floors, matching fabrics for beds and drapes, and spacious sparkling-white bathrooms. Amenities include satellite TV, mini-bar, safe, air conditioning, WiFi internet connection, and a selection from the wine cellar. The panoramic terrace and quiet gardens are the perfect locations for a drink, a lovely pool, located in a quiet and private location, has gorgeous hillside views over olive groves. Breakfast is served in a large gazebo whose large windows are completely opened during the warm season, letting the perfumes and colours of the garden enter. During the winter, the heated gazebo becomes a comfortable "winter garden," letting you enjoy direct contact with nature even during this time of the year. Light lunches and dinners are served upon request. The Bulleri family, who manages the Relais, will be available to suggest tours of Tuscany, guided visits to museums and monuments, wine tastings in Chianti, Tuscan cooking classes, as well as booking green fees at the best golf courses as the Ugolino Golf Club, Le Pavoniere and Poggio dei Medici.
Location
The Relais is located between the Certosa Convent and Ponte Vecchio, very close to Piazzale Michelangelo, with a spectacular view of the city. Ideally positioned for exploring the historical city centre, it is also an excellent base for excursions in the Chianti area, with its wonderful farmhouses and castles, and to visit the medieval towns of Siena, Volterra and San Gimignano.
