Located at only 300 meters from the sea, the Maison du Sud is a family–run guest house in a riad from the 18th century. The Maison du Sud is conveniently located in the heart of Essaouira’s busting medina and is luxuriously renovated in Moorish style. You can enjoy delicious traditional Moroccan cuisine and a vast terrace with a fantastic view on the medina.
The rooms and suites open on a light-filled interior patio with pretty tiles. Some of them are located on a mezzanine floor with a little snug sitting room. The Maison du Sud is also characterized by comfortable sitting rooms, courteous service and a sunny roof terrace with views of the sea and the roof of the Mellah. Moroccan meals are served on request. Everything one could need for a lovely holiday is available in this pretty house.

Maison du Sud, is located at only 300 meters from the sea, 350 meters from the port, 300 meters from the nearest parking, and is only a 5 minute walk from the bus station. From the sunny terrace, you can enjoy a view on the sea and the roofs of the ¨mellah¨.

"Résidence trés sympa et typique du Maroc dans le coeur de la médina. Le personnel est trés serviable. Trés bon rapport qualité/prix. Chambre sous forme de suite avec coin salon; Sanitaires trés corrects; on y retournera... Attention certaines chambres donnent sur les rues piétonnes un peu bruyantes tard le soir."
