• A row of exquisitely beautiful 18th century cottages, all commanding views of the Amstel River, converted into 7 suites by one of Europe's most acclaimed young designers. This rather unusual project was the result of Marcel Wanders' inspiration when, after dining at Peter Lute’s restaurant in the village of Ouderkerk near Amsterdam, he decided to build individual luxury suites around it. In keeping with Wanders' – designer of the famous 'Knotted Chair' on display at New York's MOMA – imagination, all of the suites are fitted out with every imaginable comfort and the interiors are utterly unique in every detail. And, if you're here for a short or longer stay and like to feel right at home, each of the Lute Suites has its own front door so you can enjoy complete freedom of movement.

• The modern and simultaneously classical decor imbues the suites with a delightful ambience, combining warmth with a global style. And this is just the effect Lute and Wanders wished to achieve with their concept. All the Suites have their own front door and comprise a living room, a separate bathroom and a separate bedroom. In the living room, a kitchenette and a wine/champagne bar provide the necessary home comforts, while the flat screen LCD-screen and DVD-players invite you to kick off your shoes and wind down at the end of the day. All the suites command unsurpassed views of the Amstel River. For dining, Lute Suites is located in the gastronomic heart of The Netherlands and a variety of top restaurants are nearby; the hotel will make reservations. Lute also offers you the opportunity of having a private lunch or dinner in your suite during restaurant opening hours. Finally, a charming 1920's canal boat can be rented for private meetings, boat trips etc.
