• Hotel Tugu Bali is designed to bring back to life the romantic, forgotten tales of Java and Bali and is built upon a passion for the romantic beauty of the art, history and culture of the two islands. The hotel, owned by an Indonesian who has been collecting antiques since the early 1960s, is home to one of the largest original art collections in Southeast Asia with highlights such as a 4.9-metre tall wooden giant statue carved from a 120-years-old tree; guardian statues from the 12th century; a 150-year-old wooden well and an immense 19th century marble table. The main building, the Bale Agung, features distinctive architecture inspired by a secluded village in Central Bali and some of the public areas contain original hundreds of years old structures that adorn the many faces of the hotel, blending pure tropical luxury with an out-of-the-ordinary ambience.

• The suites and pavilions are housed in individual buildings flanked by lush tropical gardens and a traditional lotus pond, facing the Indian Ocean. None of the accommodations are exactly the same, two pavilions are built in memory of distinguished individuals who contributed to the art and culture of Indonesia, and exotic luxuries include over-sized beds with scattered fresh petals at nights, sunken baths by local artisans, private plunge pools, spa areas, homemade natural amenities and much more.
