Sofitel Budapest is a luxurious and modern 5-star hotel in the heart of Budapest on the banks of the Danube, offering breathtaking views of the Chain Bridge and Royal Castle. This modern, glass-fronted eight-storey property features a large inner atrium flanked by date palms, the hotel's main feature. From the roof of the atrium hangs a model of an old wooden aeroplane. The rest of the atrium has a library theme, with one side having a structure which from a distance looks like a bookcase. It has an ingenious array of thin clear plastic strips, down which water runs, which gives it a spectacular cascade effect.
