This hotel is a real box of delights; every corner, space and angle is new and full of surprises. Hotel Puerta America is more than a place to stay, it is an experience you won’t forget in a hurry. Designed by various contemporary artists, like Norman Foster, Jean Nouvel and Arata Isozaki, amongst others, the hotel differs from floor to floor in both concept and design.
Twelve floors conceived by 18 of the most famous designers, artists and architects of our time, each leaving their own unique mark upon the hotel. All the suites and rooms of the Hotel Puerta America are as different as the artists who created them, offering a first class design experience. The hotel has a gym with views, and also a pool and terrace designed by Jean Nouvel. The two restaurants, the exclusive Lágrimas Negras (black tears) offering traditional Spanish gastronomy with a twist, and MAD, offering lighter and more economical options, were both designed by Christian Liagre. Don’t miss the atmospheric Marmol bar, designed by Marc Newson with a beautiful marble bar top.
Location
Located on Avenida America, the Hotel Puerta America benefits from a very privileged position: it is close to the Salamanca district, as well as public transport from which you can go on to discover the cities best museums. The airport and the IFEMA trade fair are just 10km away.

"Space Club Zimmer: Das Design ist spitzenklasse, keine Frage. Raumausstattung mangelhaft (keine Steckdosen, Schranktür sehr schwergängig, im Bad sichtbare Kabel die den Gesamteindruck empfindlich stören, viel zu wenig Haken/Halterungen zum Aufhängen von Handtüchern im Bad). Generell etwas unbequem und unpraktisch (z.B. Bad incl. Spiegel wird komplett naß beim Duschen, Stuhl und Bett relativ hart und daher unbequem, in der Dusche und vor dem Waschbecken läßt sich durch den gewölbten Boden nicht bequem stehen). Frühstück erstklassig. Qualität des Fruchtkorbs hervorragend. Service sehr zuvorkommend. Ich kann das Hotel empfehlen, allerdings nicht die "Space Club"-Zimmer."

"The hotel is very pleasant and interesting but it seems to be very expensive for what it is. the rooms are wonderfully designed and very interesting but quite small and not necessarily designed to be functional. I had an enormous bathtub which was wonderful, but it was impossible to fill without getting splashed all over. I called for help thinking I was doing something wrong but that wasn't the case. also the curves in the room were wonderful to look at but it was difficult to find a place to put a glass of water next to the bed.,"
