Situated a few metres from the plaza San Marco and near two charming little canals, the Palazzo Priuli is an authentic architectural jewel which has inspired painters as well as architects since the 15th century. Former home of procurator Giovanni Priuli, the house is now a luxurious 4 star hotel, a tribute to the opulence and prestige of the noble family which had it constructed. The magisterial combination of Gothic elements predominating throughout the establishment, the carved Moorish traceries, the maps and navigational charts, the ship designs at the entrance, the giant "salone" windows, the main lobby and its numerous neo-Gothic and neo-renaissance objects ... these are only some of the testimonies of the glorious history of this "palace".
The rooms of the Palazzo Priuli also boast detailed decoration and ambiance. Each is dedicated to a member of the Priuli family, recreating the reigning atmosphere of the period. Location
The Palazzo Pruili is situated in a tranquil residential zone right in the heart of historic Venice, just at the corner of a beautiful canal. Only five minutes away by foot you will find yourself in the world-renowned plaza San Marco, from where you have easy access to many of Venice's spectacular art treasures, including the nearby Dalmatian school with its precious paintings by Vettore Carpaccio, the church of Saint George of the Greeks and the church of San Zechariah, the Basilica di San Giovanni e Paolo and the Museum of Byzantine and Post-Byzantine Art.
