The Hotel Lorette doesnï¿½t just rest on its privileged location, near the Opera, the Grands Magasins and Montmartre: it is a hotel that outstandingly and harmoniously combines the classic and the modern. An enlightened design by architect Philippe Maidenberg preserved the still largely visible stones of this large ï¿½maisonï¿½ after its renovation. Perhaps one of the greatest indications of the play between old and new is the co-existence of the grand 19th century staircase and the elevator, glass and decorated with rose petals. Transparence is a recurring theme of the hotel. The armchairs of the breakfast room, the white walls and careful lighting contribute to create an agreable sense of space. The guest rooms sport a modern decor and an appealingly sobriety to ensure a restful stay.

Two elevators and a majestic staircase lead to the 84 stylishly decorated and furnished rooms. The white bathrooms, featuring a sense of purity in style, are refined and spacious. All the rooms are air-conditioned and equiped with exterior and interior thermostats. High speed internet, a safe, a satelite TV, and a multi-line telephone are included. Three ground-floor rooms are available for handicapped guests. The hotel is entirely equipped for free WiFi.

"The best feature of the hotel is it's location. Initially there was a mix up with the allocation of the 2 rooms I had booked, which caused some distress to my 82 yrs old Mother who was travelling with me - the problem was rectified the following day. Room facilities are spartan for what one pays i.e no trouser press - no readily available tea/ coffee making facilities and no mini fridge - very limited wardrobe space - lighting in the bedrooms is poor. On the plus side- reception staff are very friendly and courteous ( a porter to help take baggage to the rooms would be helpful 'though) - the beds are comfortable and there is little noise at night , which guarantees a good night,s sleep - bathrooms are nice and clean.A good basic hotel, over-priced for what it has to offer - not very suitable for elderly clients. I would recommend it with the proviso 'don't expect too many frills'."

"Lobby reflects the photos, stylish and nice touches. Breakfast room is in an old wine cellar and is quite charming (except for the breakfast room furniture which doesnt match the surrounding). Breakfast was standard eggs, croissant, yoghurt etc (suffient to feed a hunger but not fantastic).Gave us our hotel room early (10 am) which was nice and check out was smooth. Hotel rooms are tiny and only standardly decorated. Recommended for the business traveller on a budget but rooms not romantic enough to justify for a weekend away for a couple. Very near Opera, Gallery Lafayette, Moulin Rouge, etc (all walking distance) Metro literally one minute walk (also convenient)"

"I had breakfast, and thought it was a very good selection and setting. The bedroom was very small...but lovely and a great shower room, very clean, and pleasant. Also the images you hang on the walls are pleasant. My only complaints are that there was no drinking water provided in the rooms and you should provide internet access free of charge."
