Quietly situated in the heart of Bruges: 20 metres from the most romantic and picturesque canals, 200 metres from the Burg square (City Hall) and Marketplace (Belfry), the Hotel Jan Brito is a 16th century listed building, now a luxury hotel with every comfort. Much more than the exterior has been preserved. This impressive mansion has been tastefully refurbished, conserving unique decorations from former centuries: marble mantelpieces, paintings, oak staircase, exposed oak beams.
The 36 rooms are cosy and romantic, and dispose of a fully equipped bathroom, hairdryer, telephone, television with English language programs, minibar, safe and internet access. Breakfast buffet, bar, lounge and a large Renaissance garden with a 100 year old beech tree are at your disposal. The owners and staff guarantee you a warm and personal welcome.

"Had issues with the room service. I mailed before I came to ensure there was room service for St. Valentine evening, called the day before, asked the same morning...and evrytime they assured me "no problem". When the evening came and I ordered room service, it was not possible. So we had to dress up and find a restaurant...BUT ALL the kitchens of the 20 or so restaurants in the neighbourhood close at 10pm apparently. So we got back to the hotel and asked to find a restaurant...which they kindly did...but the harm was done. The whole idea of this city trip was to avoid being in a restaurant on St. Valentines Day. The room was also not like on the site...I booked a specific room, but didn't receive it. The next morning the fire alarm in the building had a problem and went off every 5 min...starting 8 am. So we dressed up and left early."

"The garden was quite delightful and the range of fresh food at breakfast was much wider than i had expected. The freshly squeezed orange juice was just one example of the attention to detail that placed this hotel above others in the same price range. All of the staff were polite,friendly and most effecient in their roles. Bravo"
