Hotel description

Hotel Hellsten provides fashionable accommodations in a refurbished building dating from 1898. The hotel's charm lies in its old bourgeois style bedrooms and suites which have been embellished with all the modern comforts. One could describe the Hellsten as 'design', 'hip' or 'boutique' - however the founder's firm intention is that the hotel should be a meeting place for travellers of all disciplines and interests, and become their home while enjoying relaxing and inspiring surroundings.

The Hellsten's interior design and furnishings change from room to room. They are decorated with gorgeous antiques combined with contemporary furniture from Sweden, Asia and Africa. Some have porcelain stoves and stucco work, and several have balconies. The hotel has a colonial style bar with international and ethno furnishing, as well as a breakfast room in a glazed greenhouse in the back.

Location

The Hellsten Hotel is just a block away from Sveavägen, a major street right in the middle of the city. This area is the centre for much of Stockholm's media and music industry. It is a block away from the underground station of Rådmansgatan and about 40 kilometers from Arlanda Airport.

"The owner and all the staff were extremely generous,available, and helpful at all times and were always friendly and willing to converse and be a good listener. Per Hellsten makes sure he and his staff go above and beyond and the Hotel Hellsten is a discreet place to stay. Beautiful in decoration, the bed was so comfortable and yet it is not a look at me I'm specularly chic hotel. I would stay there again."
