• When you enter Hotel Helka, you get a strong sense of being in Finland: a hotel that offers an elegant combination of Nordic design, Finnish culture and hospitality in a cosy environment. Privately-owned by the YWCA, the Hotel Helka's building in the heart of Helsinki, – drawn by architect Wivi Lönn in 1928 – went through major transformation in 2006. All rooms, public areas and restaurants have been renovated and feature light wood furnishings. Bright and spacious interiors are furnished with top Finnish designer products. Indeed, themes from design and nature are present everywhere: in furnishing, service, food and music. The idea is to offer the guests a unique and memorable hotel experience, different from typical chain hotel.
