Hotel El Coloso is conveniently located in the city centre near where Gran Vía Avenue meets Plaza de España and boasts a cozy atmosphere, fine decoration and well-appointed details. Apart from Plaza de España and Gran Vía, where you’ll find a huge range of shops, cinemas, theatres, bars and cafes, the main attractions nearby are the Palacio Real (18th century royal residence) and its gardens, the Opera House (Teatro Real), Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. As well as that, you are a few metro stops away from the famous "Golden Triangle" of museums formed by three of Spain’s major galleries: Museo del Prado, Museo Thyssen Bornemysza, and Museo Reina Sofía. Also many other museums are around the area of the hotel. The nearest metro station is Plaza España (1 minute walk).
