There are rooms with panoramic view of the rolling Perigord hills, while others overlook the mediaeval city of Monpazier.

• In the enclosed garden of hotel Edward 1er there is a swimming-pool with a large terrace. If the weather allows it, dinner may be served here. Marije, the lady chef often uses Périgord ingredients, like duck, walnuts, the different cheeses and fresh fruits, but she especially uses all her creativity to offer you a tasty dining experience. The wine cellars contain a selection of choice regional wines so each dish can be accompanied by a matching wine. A full breakfast is served wherever you please : in room, in the restaurant, on the garden terrace, and even at the poolside!

• All the team will be pleased to help you orgnize your daytrips to renowned cultural sites such as the Chateau de Biron, Les Eyzies prehistoric caves, Sarlat, the Bergerac vineyards, local crafts-men or regional cultural festivals. The hotel´s situation gives an excellent opportunity for exploring on foot, by bicycle (which you can rent via the hotel) or on horseback. And if golf is your game, there are several excellent courses within half an hour´s drive.
