Hotel Del Pintor

The Hotel del Pintor, inaugurated in 2005, is a small urban hotel in which design fuses with modern technology and personalised service. The interior décor, work of the Malagan artist Pepe Bornoy, is based in red, white and tar black colours, and is surprising in its audacity. His paintings turn the establishment into an exclusive and avant-guard setting where the artist is always present. A small Art Hotel, the Hotel del Pintor manages to astonish with its art even in such a Picassian backdrop in the most popular part of Malaga, and in doing so achieves the goal of the artist.

Exhibits, paintings on sale and accommodation, of course. In each one of the rooms and public areas are 87 seperate works and even a 13 metre high mural that goes from the interior patio up three floors, with a chromatic and abstract palette, based on the forceful concept of a totemic, African Mediterranean. The artist produces and surpervises everything, from the digitally produced painting and silk screen printing on methacrylate, policarbonate or PVC to the supporting furniture, fabrics and structure of the spaces. A new gallery conception to see, sleep and buy art.

The Hotel del Pintor is situated in the old town of Malaga, close to the Picasso Museum and Picasso birthplace, Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, Moorish Gibralfaro Castle, the Alcazaba and the Cervantes Theatre. Guests can also walk to the Malagueta beach.
