Witness to two historical different periods, a religious period in the 16th century and a military period in the 19th, each corner of the hotel has been beautifully constructed with stucco, stone and mortar. It is located on the premises of a convent that belonged to a wealthy order of Conceptionists Clarists from 1593 to 1861. It was then occupied as a military barracks by the Orient Order who would then defend the city. The Camino Real Puebla gives a fascinating glimpse into the Mexico's past. The colonial architecture, vaults, fountains and arches are testament to its rich heritage.
