The 55-room boutique hotel blends the finest aspects of ancient Roman architecture – a statue of the Emperor Caesar Augustus dating from the early 1900s is a focal point of the property – with Italian furnishings and 21st-century conveniences. Surrounded by fragrant gardens, an infinity pool and a sun terrace, the hotel's liveliness and Italian style make it a splendid retreat.
Guest rooms are in Mediterranean style, with dark wood furniture, terracotta floors, and sea-inspired color schemes. Most of the guest beds are handmade, some have iron four-poster beds and many have Jaccuzis and sea views. The Caesar Augustus’s restaurant, La Terrazza di Lucullo, offers exceptional regional cuisine with fresh herbs and vegetables from the hotel’s private garden.
