Hotel Ancora

Set on the edge of Lake Maggiore, nestled within a charming town near to many amenities and good restaurants, the Hotel Ancora is an authentic and pretty resting spot in this part of Italy. Hotel Ancora is located in downtown Verbania and is surrounded by literally hundreds of shops. Reaching the hotel is easy via ferry boat, a drive from Milan or local Malpensa Airport. To say the local scenery is stunning is an understatement - the lake has a myriad of spectacular coves and inlets, old fortresses, dilapidated (and brand new) mansions to marvel at and plenty of fresh natural scenery in bright vibrant colour. Why not try a boat excursion on the lake for an alternative view, or hire a car and drive around some of the local villages trying the wines and produce in any of the local markets. The Italian and Swiss Alps are also reachable by car, and make an added facet to what will be a delightful trip.
