Hotel description

A historic building located in the famous Eixample neighbourhood of Barcelona, its has recently been fully restored under the direction of a group of specialised architects, decorators and interiors designers. A four-star hotel establishment with impeccable service, Hotel Advance boasts a highly valuable decorative and functional scheme, with a spectacular design. It opened its doors for the first time in the year 2005, and, along with modern rooms, it awes guests with its entirely new facilities which have been specially designed to deliver the utmost comfort to each and every guest.

The rooms are elegant and enjoyable, and have been equipped with all of todayï¿½s technological advances and comforts, perfect for ensuring a pleasant stay. They also have the latest in imagery and information, such as plasma televisions and even internet access. Their bathrooms come with all of the accessories one would come to expect from a four-star hotel, among which you will find vanity mirrors and direct-line telephones. The windows all come double paned to achieve a totally soundproofed environment; and both the heating and air-conditioning systems can be regulated separately, to your own individual comfort. There are non-smoking rooms and some rooms are even wheel-chair adapted. To top it all off, you will find a snack bar, a bar, a television room, a breakfast room. Furthermore, it´s worth reminding that the hotel provides high-speed wireless internet access.

Location

The Hotel Advance is located in the commercial and business centre of the Ciutat comtal or "City of Counts", as Barcelona is often referred to. Only a few minutes from Plaça de Catalunya, the Ramblas, and the sumptuous Passeig de Gràcia, this hotel enjoys the ideal location from which to discover the cosmopolitan metropolis. There is a subway station about 200 metres away with numerous shops and cultural and tourist attractions in the immediate surroundings. The fair grounds at Montjuïc is found only 15 minutes away.

"Hotel muy bien situado, cerca del centro pero en una zona tranquila. La decoración excelente. El servicio bueno. El buffé del desayuno tenía todo lo necesario: zumos de naranja y de piña, huevos revueltos y bacon, cereales, fruta, embutidos, pan y tostadas,... todo bien presentado y servido. La habitación amplia, la cama enorme, el baño muy bien. Las pegas: la televisión que era de plasma, no tenía sintonizados los canales en español y la cama no tenía edrerdón sino manta. En general, la sensación del hotel es muy buena, para volver y recomendar."
