Grand Hotel Imperiale

One of the historical hotels on Lake Como, the Grand Hotel Imperiale is a 4 star Hotel Resort of great charm, built in late Art Nouveau style, with a new wing reminiscent of the Rationalist style which originated in Como. The hotel looks directly on to the Lake and is set in a luxuriant garden. The Hotel has kept all the atmosphere of a period hotel, in a very picturesque setting, as though it were an integral part of the landscape and architecture typical of this part of Lake Como.

The hotel offers 102 rooms, 11 of which are of deluxe standard in the exclusive and recently restructured “Villa Imperiale” fronting onto the lake. Individually controlled air conditioning, pay TV , highspeed internet access, fridge-bar, mini-safe and direct-dial telephone. Restaurants and Bars “Il Giardino”, in the main body of the Hotel has a bright verandah overlooking the garden and offers traditional Italian and international cuisine. The “Imperialino”, with splendid views of the lake and garden, offers high quality traditional cuisine showing the influence of typical local dishes but with a touch of creativity (rated 4 forks in the Michelin guide). An à la carte menu created by our chef Christian Bertogna. The “Bar Regina”, rich in charm and atmosphere, retains its original Twenties style. The “Wine Bar” on the ground floor of Villa Imperiale has a terrace opening onto the pool area Leisure Activities Open-air swimming pool overlooking the lake with a solarium and panoramic views, open from middle of May to middle of September (depending on the Weather). Tennis: private court with synthetic surface. Putting green with 9 holes and driving range. Sports Centre with Fitness facilities and Sauna Water Sports on request: water skiing, boat hire, jet skis, kayaks, regattas with the Cannottieri Moltrasio rowing club. Its position, a few kilometres from Cernobbio and only 7 km from the centre of Como as well as the easy access by public transport, including the pier of the Navigazione dei Laghi ferries, makes it an ideal destination for both tourism and business. Easy to reach, only 7 Km from the town centre of Como. By car: from the A9 motorway, 5 minutes from the Como Nord exit coming from Milan; from Ticino, follow the directions for Cernobbio and stay on the Vecchia Regina (the panoramic road) until reaching Moltrasio 1 km after Cernobbio. By ferry: 15 minutes by boat from Piazza Cavour. Get off at Moltrasio. The restaurant is adjacent to the wharf.
