• An elegant 18th century mansion, surrounded by forests and lakes in the heart of Uppsala county. Gimo Herrgård was designed by royal architect Jean Eric Rehn. It was the first manor house built in the Gustavian style and has been carefully renovated to suit the needs of modern hotel guests. The establishment is situated at the end of an impressive drive, by a beautiful lake surrounded by 250 year-old elms. The hotel staff warmly welcome all those who enjoy the good things in life and would like to do so in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Moreover, finding space to wind down at Gimo Herrgård is easy. Guests can go for a walk around the lake in the surrounding park, relax in the lakeside cottage and explore the setting or cross the lake in one of their rowing boats. The range of sports and leisure activities is truly impressive.

• The rooms and suites are carefully decorated with furniture from the era of king Gustav III. There is also a luxurious Villa with its own Spa. The restaurant, a member of the prestigious Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, has an award-winning chef and serves hearty local and international gourmet dishes made from the very finest of ingredients. Also, an underground vault is home to the wine cellar with a great selection of red wine, white wine and champagne. The array of activities available let visitors make the most of the lake and surroundings. There is a lakeside cottage with sauna, lounges and a bar, outdoor hot tub and a large deck with a lovely sunset view, access to which can be booked at the reception desk. Other activities include riding lessons, clay pigeon shooting, motorized rafts for dining while cruising the lake, tennis lessons and massage. There are also conference facilities up to 110 delegates and the lakeside cottage can be booked by conference groups.
