Hotel description

Contemporary and cosmopolitan design hotel with a cutting-edge urban atmosphere with a Portuguese soul and touch. The Fontana Park boasts being the first design hotel in Lisbon. It was built in the heart of the city in an early 20th century building which has been completely remodeled almost from scratch.

The property's rooms and suites are truly original and charming, with a unique design and atmosphere. An intoxicating white predominates throughout and is always combined with an intense second colour, a tendency that is found again and again throughout Fontana Park's public areas and rooms. The noteworthy Portuguese designer, Nini Andrade Silva, is responsible for interior design on view in the other facilities. These include a modern bar, two restaurants - el Bonsai, with tasty Mediterranean fusion cuisine, and the Saldanha-Mar, boasting the best fish and seafood in town-, a lounge, nine multi-purpose rooms as well as a garden filled with enormous bamboos, exotic furniture and a waterfall; wonderful installations open to the general public, making it possible to mingle with locals. Whether on a business trip or just for pleasure, you will find this an ideal place to explore the city whilst enjoying 21st century comforts.

Location

The famous Saldanha square, the most outstanding business and entertainment centre in the city, shelters in within its boundaries. It enjoys an unsurpassable enclave only five minutes away from the centre and old quarter and all of their main attractions. The international airport, as well as both convention centres of the city, is found a mere five to ten minutes away by car.

    "L'hôtel a un superbe design, l'atmosphère est chic et dynamique, le personnel est accueillant, la nourriture est de qualité, tout est très propre. La situation, un peu éloigné du plein centre (et donc du bruit) et pas trop loin de l'aéroport est idéale. Seule petit point faible : la salle de bains, bien trop petite, pas de place pour déposer ses affaires et éclairage médiocre, impossible pour une femme de se préparer dans cet endroit. Et l'insonorisation n'est pas fantastique dans la chambre, on entend les bruits d'eau des voisins et la climatisation est bruyante."
