The newly renovated First Hotel Reisen is a classic Stockholm hotel dating from the 17th century. It is a charming mixture of untouched cross-vaults, brick walls and modern design and comfort. Some of its accommodations have a magnificent view of the sea, and some face the alleys of the Old Town. This makes it the perfect choice for business as well as leisure travellers.

Guests can relax on leather Chesterfield sofas in the traditional library lounge, which houses a selection of modern and antiquarian Swedish books and features exposed 18th century walls. Or they can dine in style in the critically acclaimed Reisen restaurant, where the atmosphere is both modern and timeless. Every single detail, from the coffee pots to the bar music, is chosen to create a whole that goes beyond temporary trends and fashions. To finish the day they can relax and disconnect in the First Hotel Reisen’s sauna and plunge pool, located beneath a beautiful cellar vault from the 1690s. The hotel staff will be happy to prepare a dream treatment programme to match your specific needs and wishes (bodypeeling and kur bath available).

First Hotel Reisen is situated in the heart of Stockholm, 200 metres from the Royal Palace and near the medieval alleyways, cobbled streets, and archaic architecture of the Old Town. Several bus lines stop outside the hotel. The Arlanda International Airport is located 42 km from downtown.

"Hotel Riessel is a very pleasant hotel. The rooms are very well decorated and have a cosy atmosphere. The hotel has a trendy bar where you can drink very nice cocktails and listen to good music. The staff is very friendly and pleasant. We would absolutly recommend this hotel!!"

"Très bon hotel, très bien situé, bon accueil, bonne déco, la carte pourrait être un peu plus fournie notamment en entrées / tapas mais la nourriture est de bonne qualité. Les chambres de base sont très bien équipées (les produits molton brown sont super). Qques petits détails au plafond ou sur les murs nécessitent une retouche mais l'ensemble est vraiment très très bien."
