Behind an impressive facade in the heart of Berlin, in an emblematic 1920s building with a long tradition, hides the new Ellington Hotel Berlin. Its recent conversion and inauguration into a hotel establishment does not allow one to forget its prestigious past. A stage of famous artists, such as Louis Armstrong, Lou Reed, Ella Fitzgerald, David Bowie and Günter Pfitzmann among others, the building continues to appear in the majority of the tourist guidebooks. The original architecture has been wisely conserved, a highlight being the peculiar windowed facade, not to mention the interior which has been repeatedly restored and still keeps that 20s charm.
The numerous rooms of the Ellington Hotel Berlin have a minimalist and functional design, as well as a unique and individual atmosphere. Its dimensions differ from one place to another, offering grandiose spaces or small nooks, each one of them adapted to the needs of its guests: lone travellers, couples, families, business guests... Its elegant interior also hold eight shops, some of which have direct access to the wardrobe; a restaurant, whose kitchen is plain to see for curious guests; six multifunctional rooms - ideal for work meetings or private parties; a bar, state-of-the-art gym, winter garden and patio.
Location
The Ellington Hotel Berlin enjoys an excellent location in the west of Berlin, great for enjoying and exploring the city. The famous Kurfürstendamm avenue, Zoo and KaDeWe department store are practically at your feet. Only 500 meters away is the Wittenberplatz metro station; the hotel also has around 50 parking spaces for people travelling with car.

"It was such a pleasure to enter a totally contemporarily designed bedroom with en suite with the bathroom in the bedroom but so spatially subtly done. Everything had been given alot of thought.The courtyard bar and restaurant had similar qualities. The food was excellent and the barman a treasure. During the day rooflights bathed the area in light. Whether night or day it created a magical setting."
