Elite Hotel Arcadia

This elegant 1950s building in central Stockholm has been renovated to today’s high standards in fittings, with cutting-edge interior design. The building was originally a dormitory when the owner, Bicky Chakraborty, was at university. He and his friends decided it was a shame to waste the empty rooms over the summer and started renting them out; almost 50 years later the hotel is a stunning, elite establishment. The interior is regally fitted with thick carpets, marble and lavish fittings. The air of the hotel is smart and luxurious, with impeccable service.

The rooms of the hotel are unusually decorated in cutting edge style; sleek lines, clever upholstery and designer furniture, lend an ultra-modern feel. All the latest technologies like plasma screen, blackout curtains and WiFi can be found in the rooms, while the bathrooms are also fitted to the highest standards and very comfortable. The hotel provides a delicious breakfast, as well as a restaurant, which also serves fine local Swedish cuisine. The hotel offers a unique concept, “Snooze”, on Sundays, when you can enjoy a lie-in with breakfast served until the later time of 12am, and check out until 6pm. This service is available except in very high season.

The Elite Hotel Arcadia is located in central Stockholm, a quarter of an hour’s walk from the shops, museums and nightlife. It is also within walking distance of the 1912 Olympic Stadium and the Royal institute of Technology and is very near the metro. Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) is 35km away, while Bromma Airport Stockholm (BRM) is just 15km away.
